Tips & Strategy
Place the genre first
Is the clue describing law, history, poetry, prophecy, a gospel, or a letter? Genre alone cuts sixty-six candidates down to a dozen before you weigh a single name or event.
Count the famous residents
Books are known by their people. A clue about a reluctant prophet points at Jonah; a Persian queen means Esther; a jailhouse choir sings Philippians. Match characters to books and the answer surfaces early.
Mind the length and position
Clues about "shortest", "longest", "first", or "last" are gifts — Obadiah, Psalms, Genesis, Revelation. Keep the record-holders of the canon on mental speed-dial.
Don’t burn clues on a coin flip
Down to two candidates? Take the guess. A wrong early answer usually costs less than revealing every remaining clue — and a right one feels twice as good.
Scripture Spotlight
Knowing the library you carry
When Jesus explained his story to the disciples on the Emmaus road, Luke says he began "with Moses and all the Prophets" — he moved through the books like a man walking familiar rooms. The Bible is one story, but it is told through sixty-six distinct voices, each book with its own author, audience, crisis, and hope.
That is what this game sharpens: not trivia about the books, but a feel for each book’s personality. Once "letters to a young pastor" instantly means Timothy and "a love song" means Song of Songs, you don’t just guess faster — you read better, because you know whose voice you’re hearing.
“And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.”
Luke 24:27
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
2 Timothy 3:16-17

Frequently Asked Questions
Can any of the sixty-six books be the answer?
Yes — over time the rotation covers the whole canon, headline books and hidden gems alike. Expect Genesis and John, but keep Haggai and Philemon in the back of your mind.
How many clues do I get?
A short ladder of clues that go from cryptic to nearly giving it away. Solving on an early clue scores best, but even a last-clue solve keeps your streak alive.
What if I guess wrong?
A wrong guess costs you, but the round continues — reveal another clue and try again. Every reveal at the end shows how each clue pointed at the answer.
Is it the same book for everyone each day?
Yes — one mystery book per day, published at midnight UTC for all players.
