The Answer
Jesus fed five thousand men (plus women and children) using just five loaves of bread and two fish, provided by a young boy in the crowd. After everyone had eaten their fill, the disciples collected twelve baskets of leftovers — more than what they started with.
"Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?"
— John 6:9-11
Today's Devotion
✦A boy's lunch. That's all it was. Five small loaves and two fish — barely enough for one child, let alone a hillside of thousands. And yet that small, willingly offered meal became the raw material for one of Jesus' greatest miracles.
We often disqualify ourselves from being useful to God because what we have feels too small. Too little money. Too little time. Too little talent. Too little energy. But God has never been limited by the size of our offering — only by our willingness to offer it.
What small thing are you holding today that you have not yet placed in His hands? Offer it. He has a history of turning not-enough into more-than-enough.
