The Answer
During the drought Elijah had announced to King Ahab, God hid the prophet at the Kerith Ravine and commanded ravens to feed him. They brought him bread and meat every morning and evening, and he drank from the brook. When the brook dried up, God sent him on to a widow in Zarephath.
"The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook."
— 1 Kings 17:6
Today's Devotion
✦Under the law, ravens were unclean birds — scavengers, the last creatures anyone would expect to deliver dinner. Yet God chose them as His couriers, twice a day, without fail.
God's provision rarely arrives through the channel we would have designed. A stranger's kindness. An unexpected job. Help from the very person or place we had written off.
And notice: even the brook eventually dried up. Provision has seasons, and when one ends, God is not out of options — He is redirecting you to the next one. Trust the Provider more than any single stream.
