The Answer
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were thrown into the blazing furnace for refusing to worship Nebuchadnezzar's golden image. But the astonished king saw four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and said the fourth looked like a son of the gods. The three emerged without even the smell of smoke on them.
"He said, 'Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.'"
— Daniel 3:25
Today's Devotion
✦Before the furnace, the three friends said something remarkable: our God is able to deliver us — but even if He does not, we will not bow. Their faith was not a bet on a particular outcome. It was loyalty to a Person.
And notice where God showed up: not outside the furnace preventing the trial, but inside it, walking with them. The fire did not disappear; it simply lost its power to destroy.
Whatever you are walking through, the promise is not always exemption — but it is always presence. You are not in the fire alone, and the only things burning away are the ropes.
