In which river did Elisha tell Naaman to wash seven times to be healed of his leprosy?

The Answer
Naaman, a commander of the army of Aram, was told by Elisha's messenger to wash seven times in the Jordan River. Naaman was furious at first, insisting that the Abana and Pharpar rivers of Damascus were better than any waters of Israel. But when he humbled himself and obeyed, his skin was restored like that of a young boy.
"Elisha sent a messenger to say to him, 'Go, wash yourself seven times in the Jordan, and your flesh will be restored and you will be cleansed.'"
— 2 Kings 5:10
Today's Devotion
✦Naaman almost missed his miracle because it came wrapped in humility. He expected a dramatic ceremony worthy of his rank; he got a message from a servant telling him to dip in a muddy river. His pride nearly won.
It was his own servants who gently asked: if the prophet had demanded some great thing, wouldn't you have done it? Why not the simple thing?
We do this too — waiting for a grand calling while ignoring the humble obedience right in front of us. Apologize first. Give quietly. Serve unnoticed. Healing often waits on the far side of a small, humbling yes.
